My take on the future

My name is Oliver Grann. I am a qualified teacher with more than 20 years of teaching and mentoring behind me. Today I use that experience in a field that takes up more and more of my everyday work: artificial intelligence. Not as a distant tech project, but as a practical tool I work with every single day.

A team of more than 20 AI assistants

Every day I work with a team of more than 20 AI assistants that I have designed and set up myself. Each has its own role: sales, communication, creative work, purchasing, research, light shows and coordination. I think of them as a team. Each assistant has a clear task, and my job is to lead, prioritise and make sure the work fits together. It is more like team leadership than you might think: clear frames, clear expectations and constant adjustment.

Local AI on my own machine

I also work with local AI on my own MacBook Pro M5. It lets me try out models and workflows directly on my own computer. For me, that is an important part of understanding the technology from the inside: not just using it, but knowing what is going on and where the limits are.

Knowledge Nexus: knowledge your AI can use

Right now I am building Knowledge Nexus, a B2B concept that teaches companies to build knowledge bases their AI can actually use. In my experience, AI is never better than the knowledge it has access to. Many companies have plenty of knowledge, but it is scattered across folders, emails and people's heads. Knowledge Nexus is about gathering and structuring that knowledge so AI can work with it. Read more at knowledge-nexus-playbook.netlify.app.

A teacher's angle: AI in plain language

Because I am a qualified teacher and have taught and mentored for more than 20 years, my angle on AI is not technical jargon. It is communication. I want to explain AI in plain language and turn it into practical everyday use, so it becomes a tool people actually pick up, not something they only read about. It is the same approach I bring from teaching and mentoring: meet people where they are and make the difficult concrete.

My take on the future

This is my view, not a prediction. I believe the future is about people and AI working together. AI can take care of much of the repetitive and preparatory work, but it is still people who set the direction, ask the good questions and take responsibility.

I also believe knowledge becomes the foundation. In my view, those who get their knowledge in order will get the most out of AI. And I believe the ability to explain and to teach becomes more important, not less. The technology moves fast. The need for clear communication and presence does not.
